Scott Hadley Appointed To Serve on the Capital Area Workforce Development Board
Raleigh, NC - August 15, 2011 - Scott Hadley, a broker with NAI Carolantic Realty, was recently appointed by the Chairman for the Wake County Board of Commissioners to serve a two-year term with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board. The Board is a public-private partnership that focuses on economic development by ensuring the local workforce has the skills, training and education to meet the needs of local employers. The Board oversees several programs in Wake and Johnston Counties designed to serve businesses, individuals and youth. Candidates for the Board must be a representative of a business or organization located in Wake or Johnston Counties, complete a detailed application, and undergo an interview process. There are currently 24 individuals serving on the Board.
"I am delighted to work with the Capital Area Workforce Development Board to find ways to contribute to their continued success. The Board faces numerous issues that must be resolved, but there are also many opportunities to help insure our labor force is prepared to meet the challenges of today's businesses as well as future industries," said Hadley.
Having over 25 years in commercial real estate, Hadley is knowledgeable regarding all facets of real estate having assisted clients in the Research Triangle area as well as Eastern North Carolina and Coastal South Carolina. He specializes in office and industrial leasing and sales, while representing building owners and tenants. A few of his clients have included Somerset Properties, Waters Edge Properties, Hopkins Oil, Wright Law firm, Ziglar Insurance, Martin Boal Anthony & Johnson Architects, Maxim Healthcare, Triangle Restoration and Joyner Manufacturing Company. Earlier in Mr. Hadley's real estate career, he handled site acquisition work for Texaco and Amoco fueling facilities.
Heavily involved in the community, Mr. Hadley has served as the former President and Secretary of the Triangle Area Office Building Association (TRAOBA), an organization established to exert beneficial influence on matters affecting the office leasing industry, as well as promote professionalism and continuing education. He continues to be involved with numerous non-profits including the Salvation Army, Clemson University Parent's Council, and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He attends White Memorial Presbyterian Church with his wife and two sons. Mr. Hadley is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a degree in Business Administration.
